On 5th March, we opened the doors to FACE 2 FACE, a large-scale creative event in London designed to bring people back together in real life. And it genuinely felt like something shifted.

75 artists.
8 live artists.
5 creative workshops.
Free pizza, drinks and books.
One unforgettable evening.

What is FACE 2 FACE?

FACE 2 FACE is a community-led art and culture event created by Studio 404, a non-profit CIC focused on making creative spaces more accessible, inclusive and human.

The event brought together:

  • Emerging and established artists

  • Designers, founders and creatives

  • People from across different generations, backgrounds and industries

All in one space, with one shared focus: creativity and connection in real life.

Why in-person creative events matter more than ever

At a time when so much of our lives exists online, FACE 2 FACE was built around a simple idea: What happens when we bring people offline again?

Not for content. Not for clout. Not for a quick photo and exit.

But to:

  • experience art up close

  • watch artists create in real time

  • make something yourself

  • meet people you wouldn’t usually meet

The result was a room that felt present, not performative, where people stayed, talked, laughed and created. Someone described it like he felt he’d gone back in a time machine, and it doesn’t get much better than that, really, does it?

What’s next for Studio 404?

FACE 2 FACE is part of a wider vision at Studio 404. We want to:

  • Create accessible cultural experiences

  • Support emerging artists

  • Bring communities together through creativity

  • Reimagine how we experience art in physical spaces

This was just the beginning. More events, exhibitions and a larger-scale festival are coming.
